Fans of BBC's hit show The Traitors are in a frenzy, desperately trying to unmask the identity of the mysterious Secret Traitor. Now, bookmakers have stepped into the fray, releasing the latest odds on which contestant is most likely to be Claudia Winkleman's hidden agent.
Bookies Name Fiona as Favourite for Secret Traitor
Early analysis of the betting suggests the Secret Traitor is likely to be female, with contestant Fiona emerging as the clear frontrunner. According to MyBettingSites, Fiona currently has the shortest odds of 2/1 to be the player in disguise.
A spokesperson for the betting site explained the reasoning, stating: 'Fiona's insistence that she's deliberately playing dumb around the others only adds fuel to the fire, which is why she has the highest odds of being the Secret Traitor: 2/1.'
Who Is Next for Murder or Banishment?
The bookmakers have also cast their eye on the other perilous fates awaiting the players. The contestant deemed most likely to be the next murdered victim is Maz, a retired civil servant, who has been placed on the murder shortlist twice already. She carries odds of 6/1 to be the next one eliminated in the night.
When it comes to the next feared banishment at the roundtable, suspicion has fallen on Ross and Amanda from the outset. Bookies suggest attention could easily swing back to them. Meanwhile, Rachel – one of the three known Traitors – could also be vulnerable if she is spotted shortlisting Faithfuls for murder.
For now, however, Ross maintains the highest odds of being the next Faithful banished at 3/1.
Uncloaked Blunder Sparks Fan Theories
This week, eagle-eyed viewers thought they had cracked the case after spotting a potential spoiler in the spin-off show, Traitors Uncloaked. During an episode, fans noticed that the portraits of the three known Traitors – Hugo, Rachel, and Stephen – were displayed on a wall alongside a picture of fellow contestant Harriet.
Flocking to social media, one viewer wrote: 'Why are the 3 traitors pictured on the wall…..with Harriet.' Another added: 'Spoiler: The portraits of the traitors are in the background of #traitorsuncloaked.... Plus an additional one. Harriet the secret traitor!'
While it seems unlikely the producers would make such a glaring error, fans are scrutinising every detail, from contestants' handwriting to their choice of words, in their quest to solve the puzzle. This follows earlier speculation that contestant Sam might be the Secret Traitor after a cryptic comment he made in the first episode.
As the game intensifies, the betting odds will undoubtedly shift. But for now, all eyes – and wagers – are on Fiona as the prime suspect in the most cunning twist of the series.
