This week, the online forum Reddit became the epicentre of casting rumours, with talk that Cvilikas, who appeared on Locky Gilbert's season of The Bachelor in 2020, might be heading to the building site with her fiancé, Kody Griggs. The social media site was quickly inundated with negative comments from viewers who are less than enthusiastic about the prospect of another reality TV star joining the cast.
One disgruntled fan commented, 'Sounds terrible and undeserving.' Another echoed the sentiment, stating, 'That's starting to sound like all the American versions of these shows. This sentiment underscores a desire from fans for the show to return to its roots of featuring genuine amateur renovators.

The speculation was partly ignited by Cvilikas herself. Having recently undertaken her own building project and renovations at her home, she was asked by a friend on social media if she had designs on appearing on The Block. Her teasing reply? 'Maybe?! Thanks chicky.'
The rumours follow a happy personal year for Bec, who announced her engagement to long-time boyfriend Kody Griggs in July. Griggs proposed during a sunset on the beach, a moment the couple shared on Instagram. Bec captioned the emotional footage, set to Chris Stapleton's 'Joy Of My Life', as 'A forever thing.'
Since her stint on The Bachelor, Cvilikas has built her brand as an influencer, largely based on the Sunshine Coast, and has kept much of her relationship with Griggs out of the spotlight.
