Host Claudia Winkleman has once again cemented her status as the undisputed queen of The Traitors castle, captivating fans with a series of bold new looks released ahead of this week's episodes. The BBC's hit psychological reality show, which returned to screens earlier this month, continues to deliver high-stakes drama and cunning gameplay.
Claudia Commands the Castle in Signature Style
New promotional images reveal the presenter in a series of striking ensembles set to feature in the upcoming instalments. In one powerful shot, Winkleman fixes the camera with a smouldering gaze while perched on a distinctive green leather armchair. Her outfit, a masterclass in eclectic chic, featured grey tartan trousers paired with a black oversized jumper adorned with a playful duck print.
She completed the look with brown brogues, her iconic smoky eye makeup, and poker-straight hair. Another image showed the television favourite outside the Scottish castle, layering the same tartan trousers with a chic white duffle coat and chunky black boots, proving her style is as compelling as the game she oversees.
The Fallout from Fiona's Failed Gambit
The style preview comes hot on the heels of a dramatic roundtable, which saw contestant Fiona banished from the game during Friday's episode. Her exit followed an unsuccessful attempt to oust fellow player Rachel, whom she had accused of being a Traitor. The confrontation was sparked after Rachel revealed that the previously banished Amanda Collier had confided in her about being a retired police detective—a claim Fiona vehemently disputed.
Reflecting on her time in the castle during an appearance on This Morning with hosts Ben Shephard and Cat Deeley, Fiona offered a mix of regret and admiration. "It's wonderful watching it back!" she said. "When I look back, I had my reasons. Rachel has played the game magnificently. I knew I would never have an opportunity to win."
She admitted her decision to confront Rachel was "spectacularly the wrong decision," revealing a baffling contradiction: she was "90% sure" Rachel was telling the truth about Amanda, but acted out of fear Rachel would "throw me under the bus." Fiona conceded she was "rightfully booted off" after seeing the moment play back and learning Rachel was indeed truthful.
The Game's Growing Body Count
Fiona joins a growing list of departed players. The banished now include Amanda, Ross, Hugo, and Judy, while the Traitors' murderous actions have claimed Reece, Maz, Ben, and Netty. With Stephen and Rachel currently operating as the secret Traitors, the tension among the remaining Faithful is palpable as they struggle to unmask the deceivers in their midst.
The Traitors continues with new episodes on BBC One and iPlayer this Wednesday at 8pm. Viewers won't have to wait long to see if Claudia's sartorial flair is matched by another twist in the treacherous game.
