Faithful Contestant Reveals Critical Mistake in Traitors Finale

Faithful player Faraaz Noor has disclosed the crucial decision that ultimately cost him the chance to win the substantial £95,750 prize on the hit BBC series The Traitors. The 22-year-old contestant found himself outmanoeuvred in the dramatic final episode, which saw Traitors Stephen Libby, 32, and Rachel Duffy, 42, triumphantly split the jackpot, taking home £47,875 each.

The Fateful Moment That Changed Everything

Speaking exclusively on Sky News' Mornings With Ridge and Frost, Faraaz pinpointed a specific interaction with Rachel as the turning point that sealed his fate. "I think for me it was Chest of Chance with James and Rachel," he revealed. "When Rachel said to me after the round table that 'I just want to stand up there and rub it in all your faces that I'm a Faithful, that I'm faithful', that is exactly how I felt."

Faraaz explained how this statement resonated deeply with him as a fellow Faithful, clouding his judgment at a critical juncture. "And me being a Faithful I really resonated with that and that sort of tipped me," he confessed. "So I was toying between, do I protect myself and vote Rachel or do I know I am right with Stephen and stick with Stephen. It was really 50/50 and my mind was made up when I stood there."

Dramatic Finale Unfolds

The tense final episode saw the remaining contestants engage in a high-stakes battle of wits and deception. The group initially chose to banish Faraaz, followed by Jack Butler in a second round of elimination. This left Traitors Rachel and Stephen as the last players standing, overwhelmed with emotion as host Claudia Winkleman announced their victory.

The triumphant duo celebrated their win with glasses of bubbly, later appearing on the spin-off show Uncloaked to reflect on their experience. Rachel admitted, "I was so nervous for Stephen, so watching it back, it made me cry." Stephen added, "I didn't know what I was going to do, watching it back, I can see in my face. I'm just so proud of the decision that I made, proud of myself and Rachel."

Trust and Deception at the Heart of the Game

Throughout the series, Stephen had expressed doubts about whether Rachel would honour their pact to never write each other's names during roundtable votes. However, both remained committed to their agreement despite the inherent challenges of trusting someone whose role required deception.

Rachel explained her determination: "I knew from the minute it came out of my mouth I wouldn't break the pact and I thought this is a new game for me I'm not breaking it." Stephen acknowledged the difficulty: "It's so hard to trust someone in there whose job it is to lie and so I was really struggling to see how Rachel could hold onto that pact for the whole game, which is why to the end I was wobbling."

Final Episodes Packed With Drama

The concluding episodes featured several dramatic moments, including host Claudia Winkleman announcing that banishment would be "in the hands of fate" through the chests of chance. Rachel secured her place in the final five by choosing a chest containing a shield, beating James Baker in the process.

Earlier in the episode, Roxy Wilson became the last contestant to be murdered, with Claudia subsequently revealing the surprising secret that Roxy's mother, Judy, had also been a contestant on the show.

What's Next for The Traitors

While the fourth series has concluded, fans won't have to wait long for more treachery and deception. The BBC confirmed that Celebrity Traitors will return to BBC One in 2026, following its successful debut. Betting sites showed divided opinions before the finale, with some favouring Stephen while others predicted a Faithful victory, though many viewers correctly anticipated Rachel's triumph following the dramatic penultimate episode.
