Traitors Star Jack Butler's Explosive Unaired Fury After Final Betrayal
Traitors Star's Rage in Unaired Scenes After Betrayal

Explosive unaired scenes from the dramatic finale of The Traitors have been revealed, showing the raw emotional fallout after a shocking betrayal. Finalist Jack Butler has disclosed that his immediate reaction to being deceived by co-stars was so intense that producers were forced to physically intervene, hauling him into a separate room to help him regain composure.

The Moment of Truth and Immediate Fury

Speaking candidly after the nail-biting End Game, the personal trainer, who played as a Faithful throughout the series, described the visceral anger he felt upon realising the truth. "The first ten minutes after it happened, I was absolutely steaming," Butler confessed. "I was so angry and I got pulled into a room with the producers and I was calmed down a little bit." This intervention highlights the extreme psychological pressure contestants face in the high-stakes game of deception, where a life-changing £95,000 cash prize was on the line.

Betrayal by Trusted Allies

Butler's fury was directed at fellow finalists Rachel Duffy and Stephen Libby, whom he had believed were his allies. The betrayal occurred during the final showdown, where the group voted to banish Faraz first, before turning their attention to Butler in the second round of eliminations. He only realised Libby was a Traitor when he turned his slate around to reveal Butler's name, a moment that shattered his trust. "Honestly, it's such a psychological game and you've gone through all these weeks of who can I trust?" he reflected, acknowledging the mental toll of the experience.

From Anger to Acceptance

Despite the initial rage, Butler's anger subsided relatively quickly. "Then I was just looking forward to going home and seeing my partner and my family," he said. "It's like 10 minutes of anger and then you're like hang on, it's not actually life or death." On reflection, he holds no lasting grudges, praising Libby for having "acted fantastically" in his portrayal of a Faithful. Butler even expressed genuine happiness for both winners, stating he was "genuinely really happy for both of them" after they celebrated their victory with a glass of sparkling wine.

Life Beyond the Game

Before the final episode, Butler had hoped to use the prize money for a house deposit and to propose to his girlfriend. Although he didn't win, he still went ahead with the proposal two months after filming ended, during a romantic trip to Santorini. The proposal nearly faced a setback when choppy waters on a planned yacht ride made him seasick, but after the boat stopped, he successfully popped the question. When asked about inviting The Traitors cast to his wedding, Butler confirmed they would all be invited, but quipped that Duffy and Libby might have to "chip in" given their win.

Record-Breaking Audience Figures

The dramatic final captivated viewers, generating overnight viewing figures of 9.4 million, with a peak of 9.6 million. This makes it the biggest overnight audience since the final episode of The Celebrity Traitors in November 2025 and sets a new record for the non-celebrity version across the show's four series, underscoring the programme's massive popularity and cultural impact.
