Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor Relocates from Royal Lodge to Temporary Sandringham Property
Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor Moves Out of Royal Lodge

Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor, the former Duke of York, has moved out of Royal Lodge and is currently living in a temporary property on the Sandringham Estate, according to recent reports. This development follows Buckingham Palace's earlier announcement that he would leave his home "as soon as possible and practicable" after being stripped of his royal titles last year due to his connections with Jeffrey Epstein.

Transition to Temporary Accommodation

The 65-year-old is understood to have relocated to a provisional residence within the Sandringham Estate while renovation work progresses at his permanent home, Marsh Farm, located in the small village of Wolferton, Norfolk. This move marks a significant shift from his previous lifestyle at Royal Lodge, a property he had occupied for many years.

Discontent with Marsh Farm

Insiders reveal that Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor has expressed dissatisfaction with Marsh Farm, describing it as "beneath him" following a recent viewing. A royal source commented, "The moment he walked in, his face dropped. He thought it was beneath him. Too small, too isolated — he actually called it the middle of nowhere."

Despite Marsh Farm being a substantial property by most standards, the former duke is reportedly "appalled" that it offers only five bedrooms, which he considers "poky." This reduction in space means he will not have room for live-in staff, a point of contention for someone accustomed to more expansive royal accommodations.

Ongoing Legal and Public Pressure

This relocation occurs amidst mounting pressure for Andrew to provide evidence in the United States regarding his relationship with the late sex offender Jeffrey Epstein. He has consistently denied any wrongdoing, but the scrutiny continues, with recent revelations including an email from 2010 where he referred to himself as Epstein's "pet."

The move from Royal Lodge, a symbol of his former status, to a temporary setup and eventually a smaller permanent home underscores the profound changes in his life following the loss of his royal titles and the ongoing controversies.
