Chelsy Davy, the former girlfriend of Prince Harry, has made a surprise announcement on Mother's Day, revealing she has welcomed her third child with husband Sam Cutmore-Scott. The 40-year-old jewellery company founder took to Instagram to share the news that she gave birth to a baby boy named Finn last week.
Mother's Day Revelation
In a heartfelt post on both her personal Instagram page and that of her jewellery firm Aya Jewellery, Davy shared a series of photographs showing her cradling newborn Finn alongside her two other children, Leo and Chloe. The announcement came as a surprise to followers who were unaware she had been expecting another child.
"This year feels especially meaningful for me as we welcome our little boy, Finn, who arrived last week," Davy wrote in her Mother's Day message. "Returning to those hazy newborn days has been a beautiful reminder of just how remarkable mothers are - and of the many ways we each balance family, work and everything in between."
Embracing the Juggle
The former lawyer turned entrepreneur spoke candidly about the challenges and rewards of balancing motherhood with her professional life. "Running Aya alongside raising Finn, Chloe and Leo is a juggle, but it's one I've chosen," she explained. "And one of the wonderful things about the world we live in today is that many of us have that freedom - to shape our lives in the way that feels right, whether that includes motherhood, a career, creativity, or something entirely different."
Davy concluded her message with warm wishes to other mothers: "This Mother's Day, I'm embracing the juggle I've chosen - and celebrating all of you embracing yours. Wishing you a very happy Mother's Day. Chelsy x."
Growing Family
This marks the third child for Davy and her husband Sam Cutmore-Scott, whom she married secretly in 2022. The couple welcomed their first child, son Leo, in 2022, followed by daughter Chloe in September 2024. Cutmore-Scott, an Eton-educated hotelier, is the brother of actor Jack Cutmore-Scott, known for his roles in the Oscar-winning film Tenet and the drama series Deception.
The family is believed to split their time between their homes in Chiswick, West London and Norfolk, maintaining a relatively private lifestyle despite Davy's previous high-profile relationship.
Royal Connection
Chelsy Davy remains one of Prince Harry's most well-known former girlfriends, with their on-off romance spanning seven years from 2004 to 2011. The couple first met when Zimbabwean-born Davy was a boarder at Stowe School in Buckinghamshire, and she later studied law at Leeds University.
During their relationship, Davy was frequently photographed alongside Harry at numerous high-profile events including polo matches, society weddings, and even met King Charles and the late Queen Elizabeth II. However, reports suggest she struggled with the intense media scrutiny that came with dating a senior royal.
It is said that Prince William and Catherine's extravagant wedding in 2011 ultimately convinced Davy that royal life was not for her. Despite their breakup, she maintained cordial relations with Harry, attending his 2018 wedding to Meghan Markle at Windsor Castle.
Since ending her relationship with Harry, Davy has forged a successful career outside the royal spotlight, transitioning from law to founding her own jewellery company while building her family with husband Sam Cutmore-Scott.
