Jennie Bond, who served as the BBC's royal correspondent for fourteen years until 2003, has delivered a stark verdict. She has publicly praised King Charles for his firm stance, directly linking her support to the emergence of damaging emails that appear to detail Andrew's connections with Epstein.
"Although he [Andrew] denies any wrongdoing, these emails have completely vindicated the King in taking the draconian action he did, stripping Andrew of his titles and evicting him from his home," Ms Bond stated unequivocally.
Revealed Correspondence Raises Serious Questions
The newly publicised correspondence includes emails exchanged in August 2010 between Epstein and an account identified as 'The Duke'. In these messages, Epstein proposed introducing 'A' to a 26-year-old Russian woman. The response from 'The Duke' indicated he would be in Geneva "until the morning of the 22nd, but would be delighted to see her."
A further email, dated September 27, 2010, shows the then Prince Andrew inviting Epstein to Buckingham Palace. The message read: "I am just departing Scotland, should be down by 1800. I'll ring you when I get down if you can give me a number to ring. Alternatively, we could have dinner at Buckingham Palace and have lots of privacy. A." This communication is particularly significant as Andrew has previously denied having a friendship with Epstein and sought to minimise their relationship during this period.
Compounding Visual Evidence
Ms Bond, speaking to GB News, also referenced the now-infamous photograph of Andrew on all fours, leaning over a motionless woman. While acknowledging that the image does not prove illegal activity, she emphasised its profound inappropriateness.
"While he [Andrew] denies any wrongdoing, these emails appear to show some very ill-judged meetings with a convicted paedophile, which I don't think he can defend. Then there's that picture of him [where he appears to be] on all fours over someone. Obviously, we can't say he was doing anything illegal, but it's hardly appropriate," the expert commentator added.
Andrew's Current Situation and Continued Denials
The 65-year-old Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor, who continues to strenuously deny any misconduct, has now vacated his long-term residence at the Royal Lodge mansion in Windsor, Berkshire. It is understood the father of two is currently residing in temporary accommodation on the Sandringham Estate while renovation work is completed at his permanent home, Marsh Farm, located in the Norfolk village of Wolferton.
