Stars of Stage, Screen and Ice Honoured
Idris Elba, renowned for his roles in 'Luther' and 'The Wire', has been awarded a knighthood. The honour recognises his significant services to young people, primarily through his philanthropic work with the Elba Hope Foundation. Meanwhile, Britain's beloved ice dancing duo, Jayne Torvill and Christopher Dean, have been made a Dame and a Sir respectively. Their honours acknowledge their unparalleled impact on ice skating, cemented by their iconic 1984 Olympic gold, and their decades of voluntary service.
Lionesses Roar with Recognition
England's triumphant women's football team, the Lionesses, have been richly rewarded following their recent successes. Team captain Leah Williamson has been made a Commander of the Order of the British Empire (CBE). A host of her teammates have been appointed Members of the Order of the British Empire (MBE). Notable Omissions from the List

Among the notable figures tipped for an honour who did not feature was rugby league legend and campaigner Kevin Sinfield.
