Zara & Mike Tindall's Aussie Getaway Fuels Royal Move Rumours
Zara & Mike Tindall's Aussie Trip Sparks Royal Move Talk

Zara Tindall and her husband Mike have been soaking up the sun in Australia, where their affectionate display and connections to Prince Harry's inner circle have reignited chatter about a potential royal relocation.

Beachfront Bliss and Royal Connections

The couple are currently on the Gold Coast for the prestigious Magic Millions horse racing festival, an annual tradition for the pair. The event saw Zara, a former world champion equestrian and niece of King Charles, take part in a special beachfront race at Broadbeach on 13 January 2026.

A proud Mike Tindall watched on as his wife competed alongside a host of jockeys, including Nacho Figueras – the polo star often dubbed the 'David Beckham of polo' – and his wife Delfina Blaquier. Both Figueras and Blaquier are noted as close personal friends of Prince Harry and Meghan, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex.

The outing was filled with tender moments, with photographers capturing Zara gently touching her husband's face before the pair shared a warm embrace for the cameras.

"We'd Love Living There": Tindalls Tease Dream Move

The Australian trip has once again prompted questions about whether the Tindalls would ever consider a more permanent move Down Under. In the past, the couple have openly admitted their fondness for the country.

They have reportedly said "numerous times if we weren't living in England, we'd love living there", teasing the possibility of following in the footsteps of Harry and Meghan by starting a new chapter abroad.

However, Mike Tindall has also presented a realistic counterpoint to the dream. He conceded that while they adore Australia, "living there isn't realistic because it's so far away from our families." He praised the Australian pace of life and sense of humour, stating, "I'm all about that."

The Tindalls have built a strong social circle in Australia, and Zara also has close friends in New Zealand, cementing their ties to the region.

Family Life in Gloucestershire

For now, the couple's home base remains in the UK. They live with their three children – Mia, Lena, and Lucas – in a property on the Gatcombe Park estate in Gloucestershire. The estate is owned by Zara's mother, The Princess Royal.

Their participation in the Magic Millions festival underscores their deep-rooted passion for equestrian sports and their love for the Australian lifestyle, even if a full-time move remains a distant prospect for the family-focused pair.
