The BBC has officially announced the renewal of its hit comedy series Amandaland for a third season, much to the delight of fans. The show, a spin-off from the popular Motherland, stars Lucy Punch as the titular Amanda and features Dame Joanna Lumley as her mother.

Return to SoHa

The broadcaster confirmed that Amanda and her group of friends will return to 'SoHa' (South Harlesden) for six new episodes. The series follows Amanda after her marriage breakdown as she navigates single parenthood, revives her friendship with sidekick Anne (Philippa Dunne), and deals with her aging mother, all while trying to grow her online business, Senuous.

Critical and Popular Success

Amandaland has been a massive hit, winning Best Scripted Comedy at the recent BAFTA Television Awards. The first series averaged 5 million viewers over 28 days, and its 2025 Christmas special was the UK's top comedy programme with 7.4 million viewers.
