The Death in Paradise spin-off Beyond Paradise returns this week, airing in the 8pm slot on BBC One before the parent show's finale at 9pm. The new series follows DI Humphrey Goodman (Kris Marshall) and his team as they tackle fresh mysteries in the fictional town of Shipton Abbott.
Returning cast members include Sally Bretton as Martha, Zahra Ahmadi as DS Esther Williams, Dylan Llewellyn as PC Kelby Hartford, Barbara Flynn as Anne Lloyd, and Felicity Montagu as Margo Martins. Jamie Bamber, Melina Sinadinou, Eva Feiler, and Phil Daniels also reprise their roles.
A synopsis teases: "Fact and folklore blur as they investigate the death of a novelist who predicted their demise, a magical night of Dark Morris that turns sour, a stolen treasure map that reappears, and the alleged sighting of a vengeful mermaid." Meanwhile, Humphrey and Martha navigate married life and search for a new home, while Humphrey faces a decision that could change the station forever.
Series 4 launches on Friday, March 27, at 8pm on BBC One and BBC iPlayer, following the Death in Paradise series 15 finale at 9pm. Subsequent episodes will air weekly at the same time.
Guest stars for the new series include Susan George, Colin McFarlane, Michael Cochrane, Melanie Walters (Gavin and Stacey), and Vincent Franklin. Also appearing are Alex Macqueen, Tristan Sturrock, Andrea Lowe, Rachel Cassidy, and others.
