Dark Thriller 'I Will Find You' Hailed as Netflix's Best Yet

The new Netflix dark thriller series I Will Find You has been hailed by fans as the 'best one yet' from author and producer Harlan Coben. The eight-part miniseries, based on Coben's 2023 novel of the same name, premiered on the streaming platform and has quickly gained a devoted following.

Critical Acclaim and Fan Reactions

Luke Eccleston, known online as Eccy Reviews, posted a TikTok video praising the series. He stated: 'Harlan Coben just dropped his brand new series on Netflix, and it genuinely might be his best one yet. The series I'm talking about is called I Will Find You, and as I said, it might honestly be the best one yet. It feels completely original.'

Eccleston highlighted the show's darker and grittier tone, comparing it to earlier Coben adaptation His & Hers. He noted that the acting is superior thanks to a 'stacked cast,' and described the plot as 'full of twists and turns' that kept him guessing until the end.

The series follows David Burroughs (Sam Worthington), a man wrongly imprisoned for the murder of his son. Five years into his sentence, his ex-sister-in-law Rachel (Britt Lower) brings him information suggesting his son may still be alive. This revelation sets off a chain of events involving the FBI and a race against time.

Cast and Episode Details

Alongside Worthington and Lower, the cast includes Chi McBride as FBI task force leader Max Williams, Logan Browning as his daughter and agent Sarah Greer, Erin Richards as David's ex-wife Cheryl Dreason, Jonathan Tucker as police sergeant Adam Mackenzie, and Milo Ventimiglia as Rachel's ex-boyfriend Hayden Payne. Recurring roles feature Peter Outbridge, Hugh Thompson, Kate Vernon, and Aaron Ashmore, with guest appearances by Clancy Brown, Anna Hopkins, and Eric Johnson.

The entire series is eight episodes long, each running 30 to 40 minutes, making it ideal for a 4-5 hour binge session.

Harlan Coben's Netflix Success

This is the 13th Coben adaptation for Netflix, following hits like Safe, The Stranger, and Stay Close. Eccleston remarked that while some Coben adaptations have been 'really, really bad,' this one stands out as 'probably his stand-out' work. He added: 'Honestly, it kept me guessing until the very end, even though I had little suspicions.'

I Will Find You is available to stream on Netflix now.
