The full cast list for the upcoming crossover episode between Coronation Street and Emmerdale, titled 'Corriedale', has been confirmed. The special episode will air on Monday 5th January 2025 at 8pm on ITV1 and ITVX, marking the start of a new soap hour in the weekday schedules. The episode will feature a cataclysmic event that brings both soaps together, leaving many characters in danger.
Among the confirmed characters are fan favourites Aaron Dingle (Danny Miller) and DS Lisa Swain (Vicky Myers). The crossover will also see the return of the murderous John Sugden (Oliver Farnworth), who has been a fugitive since his crimes were exposed. Viewers will be left wondering whether Aaron and his soulmate Robert Sugden (Ryan Hawley) will survive whatever John has planned.
John is not the only soap villain confirmed for the event. Other antagonists include the scheming Becky Swain (Amy Cudden) and abusive Theo Silverton (James Cartwright) from Coronation Street, as well as dangerous Ray Walters (Joe Absolom) and dastardly Joe Tate (Ned Porteous) from Emmerdale. The episode may see some of these villains face comeuppance, or tragedy may await them at the hands of others.
