GB News Host Bev Turner Returns to UK Show After US Stint

GB News presenter Bev Turner made a surprise return to the programme this week, telling viewers "it's nice to be back" as she reunited with co-host Andrew Pierce for a special Easter edition of the show. The unexpected comeback occurred during Wednesday's broadcast, marking Turner's first appearance on the UK-based news channel since her relocation to the United States last year.

Return from American Broadcasting Venture

The 51-year-old presenter had departed the United Kingdom in September 2025 alongside fellow GB News host Ben Leo to launch The Late Show Live, a nightly flagship programme broadcast live from Washington DC. Turner had fronted her final programme with Andrew Pierce in August of that year, with GB News colleagues bidding her farewell through touching and affectionate messages at the time.

Easter Homecoming and Last-Minute Call-Up

Addressing audiences during the broadcast, Pierce began by stating: "Hello and welcome to Britain's news room - we live across the UK. I'm GB News Andrew Pierce and Bev Turner." Turner beamed as she remarked: "So nice to be back. I have a flying visit home for Easter and have to say I love Easter." Pierce concurred: "Loving time of year."

Turner elaborated on her seasonal return, noting: "It's like Christmas but without the pressure, isn't it. It's wonderful. Family, food and sunshine. I loved it." Regarding her professional comeback, she revealed: "And then, of course, I'm doing Dewbs this week because Michelle's on a holiday, and they called me in last minute and said 'would you sit with Andrew Pierce this morning?'"

Familiar Banter and On-Air Chemistry

Before Turner could complete her sentence, Pierce interjected with characteristic humour, quipping: "And she said 'I can't think of a worse way to spend my morning'. Memories came flooding back." Turner erupted into laughter as she responded: "Wouldn't keep me away." The exchange demonstrated the pair's familiar on-air chemistry that had been absent during Turner's American sojourn.

Addressing her co-star directly, Turner added: "And he's a bit emotional as you can hear from his voice. Someone's bringing you some water." Pierce responded with another quip: "Yeah I doubt... Well they're too busy trying to find the poison to put in the arsenic." Turner then faced the camera and inquired about the show's duration: "How long have I got? Midday? Are we still on for two and a half hours?" Pierce confirmed: "Yes we are. Bev does a three hour show and I'm sure you haven't missed it."

Audience Reaction to Reunion

Viewers expressed delight at seeing the broadcasting duo reunited on screen once more. One fan posted on social media platform X: "It's great to see them back presenting together." Another remarked: "So lovely to see you Bev, you two go so well together, miss you here." Meanwhile a third observer noted: "Andrew is smiling much more with Bev," highlighting the positive dynamic between the two presenters.

The temporary return sees Turner filling in for regular presenter Michelle Dewberry, who is currently on holiday. Turner will co-host with Pierce throughout the week, marking a nostalgic homecoming for the broadcaster who had established herself as a familiar face on GB News before her transatlantic move last year.
