Multimillionaire actress Gwyneth Paltrow left fans drooling as she opened the doors to her ritzy Montecito mansion in a new cookery video this week. The Goop founder, 53, who recently attended daughter Apple's college graduation, took to Instagram to share her recipe for a garden veggie frittata with bacon, but all eyes soon turned to her envy-inducing farm-to-table garden and surprising kitchen addition.
As the star showed off her dicing skills, she revealed her most unusual kitchen feature: a sliding ladder set on a gold rail. The ladder, set against white cabinets, is designed to allow Paltrow to grab hard-to-reach items. Fans were left stunned at the star's innovative kitchen design, with one writing: 'It's the ladder for me.' Others wrote: 'Beautiful kitchen' and 'Going to the garden in the back to pick up some vegetables... I really love to see that.'
Paltrow's deluxe space features a lavish kitchen, a 'show-stopping' living room, and its very own spa that includes a $30k shower system, hot tub and plunge pool that the star stresses is essential for 'good circulation.' Paltrow and her TV producer husband Brad Falchuk reportedly purchased the home for almost $5 million in 2016 and began extensive renovations on the property.
While giving a tour of her house in 2022, Paltrow repeatedly referenced how it was inspired by her time living in the UK, when she was married to Coldplay front man Chris Martin. Paltrow explained the importance of having the kitchen open-plan so she could cook and talk to her children. By her own admission, Paltrow called her living room 'bonkers in the best way' as it features a number of differing styles, including a marble bar, a swing sofa seat and lights inspired by the band Guns N' Roses.
Paltrow recently reunited with ex-husband Martin at Apple's graduation from prestigious Vanderbilt University in Nashville. Apple's younger brother, Moses, who is a sophomore at Brown University, was also pictured at the event. Apple looked every inch the perfect graduate as she strolled along with her famous blended family, wearing a black gown over a white dress with Ray-Ban sunglasses.
The budding model began studying at the university back in 2022 and majored in Law, History and Society. Vanderbilt is one of the most elite colleges in the country, with an acceptance rate of just 5.3%. Though she has pursued theater as a member of the Vanderbilt Original Cast and has directed student productions, Apple was not a drama major. However, she has already secured a top Hollywood agent at powerhouse agency CAA and has detailed her dreams of becoming an actress.
Last year, Apple told Interview Magazine how she loves theater 'more than anything.' 'I would love to do theater because I adore it so much. I've obviously never done film before, but I've been trying to get involved in student films. I was born a theater kid. I don't wanna be a singer. I like musical theater, but getting onstage by yourself to sing is so terrifying. I love dancing and I love acting. My dream is to act.'
