Comedian Seann Walsh is reportedly in talks to join the upcoming series of I'm A Celebrity...Get Me Out Of Here!, marking a potential return to reality TV after his controversial exit from Strictly Come Dancing in 2018.
The 38-year-old comedian became embroiled in scandal when he was photographed kissing his married Strictly dance partner Katya Jones, despite being in a relationship at the time. The incident dominated headlines and led to widespread backlash.
Now, sources suggest Walsh could be heading into the Australian jungle as part of ITV's flagship reality show. "Seann has been approached and discussions are ongoing," an insider revealed. "Producers think he'd bring great entertainment value and his redemption arc would make compelling viewing."
Walsh has rebuilt his career since the scandal, returning to stand-up comedy and making appearances on shows like Celebrity Hunted and Celebrity MasterChef. A stint in the jungle could further rehabilitate his public image.
ITV is said to be finalising its lineup for the 2024 series, which typically begins in November. Other rumoured contestants include a former Love Island star and a retired footballer.
