What began as a glamorous festive celebration at the home of AFL WAG Rebecca Judd took a dramatic turn when a guest suffered a severe medical emergency, requiring an urgent ambulance dash to hospital.
A Festive Gathering Turns Serious
The 42-year-old socialite had documented the opulent buffet and luxurious spread at her multi-million pound Brighton mansion in Melbourne through a series of Instagram posts. The party featured guests grazing on snacks, a dance party on the family tennis court, and games of tennis and swimming.
However, the festivities were abruptly interrupted. Judd posted a photo of an ambulance racing away from her property after a guest suffered a severe allergic reaction.
"Apparently one of our fam is anaphylactic to nuts," Bec explained in her caption. She extended her gratitude, adding, "Thank you to our emergency services working on Christmas."
A Rollercoaster of Festive Emotions
Despite the alarming incident, Judd reflected that the party was otherwise a success. In a candid caption alongside a series of images, she summarised the eventful day: "We opened gifts, we ate, we drank, we baked, we played tennis, we swam, we skated, we raved, we called triple zero, we loved, we laughed, we melted down, we counted our blessings."
This was not the only pre-Christmas drama for the Judd household. Just days before, on Christmas Eve, Bec's nine-year-old twin boys, Tom and Darcy, caused significant damage to the family dining room.
The boys tore down the lavish floor-to-ceiling curtains, forcing Bec to call in labourers for an emergency repair at her Brighton home, which she purchased for $7.3 million in December 2019.
"Judd twins free to good home," she joked over a photo of the destruction, clarifying, "This is not a cricket incident. More of a nine-year-old boy being a s*** incident." She later thanked 'Lynch’s Window Fashions' for coming out on Christmas Eve to rehang the beige curtains.
A Season of Minor Disasters
The Christmas challenges began even earlier for the glamorous influencer. The previous Sunday, she faced major travel disruptions when her Qantas flight to Melbourne was significantly delayed due to stormy weather.
She posted a frustrated photo from the plane, worried her Christmas was being "ruined," after the aircraft missed its initial landing approach and was forced to circle. Fortunately, the flight later landed safely at Melbourne Airport.
Through it all, Rebecca Judd's social media updates provided a relatable and chaotic glimpse into a celebrity Christmas, blending luxury with the unpredictable realities of family life and festive emergencies.
