The bar's marketing executive, Tristen Egdorf, who hails from the United States, is delighted to bring authentic Southern hospitality to Newcastle, combining the spirit of a classic Western saloon with live country music.

The opening of Duke's reflects the explosion of country music in the UK in recent years. American artists like Taylor Swift and Luke Combs have sold out stadiums multiple times, while Ella Langley's 'Choosin' Texas' became one of the biggest songs of 2026.
