Love Island fans have demanded Ofcom intervention after the latest Movie Night twist left several Islanders in floods of tears, sparking concerns over their emotional wellbeing.
Movie Night Fallout
In Monday's episode (July 6), the fallout from Movie Night continued as Islanders watched previously unseen clips of their conversations and interactions. The screening exposed Kavan's Casa Amor behaviour, leading to Jasmine breaking down in tears. Charleen was also seen crying the next morning, confessing to Mara that the footage confirmed her connection with Kavan. She said: "Unfortunately I do really f**** like him."
Fan Reactions
Viewers took to social media to express their concern. One fan posted on X: "Getting a little too much for our girl Charleen." Another wrote: "Poor Charleen." A third added: "nah kavan got TWO girls crying. get me out for f******." A fourth commented: "i actually feel for charleen tho bc kav did treat her like s*** he's messed her about but why tf did she not say anything during movie night." A fifth echoed: "Poor charleen, she's done nothing to deserve this. She doesn't deserve this situation, she seems like someone who has a good personality." A sixth said: "I feel so bad for Charleen and Priya. They're the only ones in this situation that are having a horrible time."
Kavan's Love Triangle
Later, on the terrace, Kavan told Charleen: "I brought you back that's a big statement." However, he admitted he still "likes" Jasmine. Charleen replied: "I've been nothing but understanding and nice and supportive and stuff... If I didn't like you this much, it wouldn't be that big an issue, but it hurts." Observing the pair, Jasmine confided to Lorenzo that she couldn't stay in the villa if Kavan continued pursuing Charleen, saying it would be "too hard." She added: "This would be me done" if Kavan failed to commit to her, according to OK!.
Ofcom Calls
Viewers rushed to social media demanding Ofcom be contacted. One person wrote: "Where if ofcom when u need them." Another echoed: "Guys please make Ofcom Reports about the unfair treatment that the producers are showing Jasmine." The episode was described as a "hard watch" by fans, who rallied behind both Jasmine and Charleen amid the emotional turmoil.
Love Island airs Sunday to Friday at 9pm on ITV2 and ITVX.
