Hairstylist and influencer Jules Neale has launched a remarkable public attack on her former friend Tess Crosley, demanding she delete social media photos, as the fallout from her marriage breakdown with Brisbane Lions star Lachie Neale intensifies.
A Friendship Turned Sour
The 35-year-old's furious comment, posted on Monday under photos showing Tess Crosley with the AFL footballer at the Brisbane Lions' grand final celebrations, read: 'Take these down, you idiot, you're embarrassing yourself.' The message has since been deleted, and the two women, who were once close friends, no longer follow each other on Instagram.
This public spat follows Jules Neale's own explosive social media statement on Friday, where she vehemently denied media reports that she and Lachie were 'working through' their issues. Instead, she alleged she had been 'betrayed in the most unimaginable way', though she did not specify the nature of that betrayal.
Evidence of Happier Times
What is now painfully clear is that the relationships were not always so acrimonious. Photos and videos from happier times remain visible on their public social media pages, serving as a stark contrast to the current drama.
A carousel of images from a coastal getaway in November shows Tess and Ben Crosley enjoying a holiday with Jules and Lachie Neale and their children. The group appeared in high spirits, with one photo featuring Jules and Tess posing together in bikinis on the sand. Another image shows Lachie Neale and Ben Crosley spending time in the backyard of their holiday rental.
Further evidence of their past camaraderie comes from a TikTok video uploaded to Tess Crosley's account in June. The clip features the two couples performing the popular 'hope our husbands like each other' skit. Jules is seen miming, 'I hope our husbands get along', before Tess responds with, 'me too'. The camera then cuts to Lachie and Ben with their arms interlocked, sharing a cocktail. The video was pointedly captioned: 'Four best friends'.
The Rapid Unravelling
In the immediate aftermath of her marriage statement, Jules Neale took decisive action online. Within hours, she deleted every photo of Lachie from her Instagram account, erasing over a decade of shared memories. The physical separation was mirrored offline, with a moving truck spotted at the couple's Brisbane home.
Her anger then extended to her former friend. The Instagram post she targeted, which Tess Crosley has since switched off comments on, featured multiple images from the Lions' grand final day and the subsequent back-to-back premiership celebrations. Several photos in the post showed Jules and Lachie celebrating on the field and inside the club sheds.
There is no suggestion of any wrongdoing by Tess Crosley. Neither party has made any further public comment on the situation beyond the social media exchanges. Jules and Lachie Neale share two young children: four-year-old daughter Piper and son Freddie, who was born in December 2024.
