Tesco is offering a free hot breakfast to approximately 159,000 regular Armed Forces personnel and 32,000 reservists on Sunday, June 28, in celebration of Armed Forces Day. The promotion is available at 335 Tesco Cafés across the UK and includes veterans who present a valid Veteran's ID card.
Eligible Breakfast Items
Participants can choose from The Breakfast, The Veggie Breakfast, The Vegan Breakfast, a Sausage Bap, Egg Bap, Veggie Bap, or Bacon Bap. Serving personnel must show their MOD90 military ID card at the drinks counter to receive a coupon, which is then scanned at the kiosk when ordering. Veterans follow the same process with their Veteran's ID card.
Returning for a Second Year
This initiative returns for a second consecutive year for veterans. Tesco confirmed it has distributed more than 7,800 free breakfasts to serving personnel and veterans since 2022. Ashwin Prasad, Tesco UK CEO and executive sponsor of the supermarket's Armed Forces Network, said: "Tesco has a long association with the Armed Forces and we are proud to be the leading private sector employer of veterans in the UK, which we support through our thriving Armed Forces network. This Armed Forces Day, we are recognising those who serve and have served. Everyone loves a free breakfast and it's a nice way of thanking them for their service."
Commitment to Armed Forces Community
Sabrina Lungo, chair of Tesco's Armed Forces Network, added: "We take great pride in our connection with the Armed Forces and offering this small token of appreciation on Armed Forces Day is just one way that we're helping and recognising serving personnel and veterans. In 2025, we reconfirmed our commitment to the Armed Forces community through re-signing the Armed Forces Covenant and launching our three-year partnership with Help for Heroes, to support not only veterans at Tesco but the wider community."
The promotion is available for one day only on Sunday, June 28, at participating Tesco Cafés nationwide.
