Channel 4 presenter Jasmine Harman has shared an emotional health update concerning her husband, Jon, after he suffered a sudden heart attack while cameras rolled for their television show. The frightening incident occurred during the production of 'Jasmine Harman's Renovation in the Sun', forcing Jon to be rushed to hospital.
A Frightening On-Screen Emergency
The couple had been documenting the renovation of their property in Estepona for the Channel 4 programme when the medical crisis unfolded. Footage broadcast earlier this week showed the alarming moment Jon became unwell and was subsequently filmed being taken to hospital. Medics on the scene later confirmed that he had experienced a heart attack.
Speaking about the family's medical history during the show, Jon revealed that heart conditions are prevalent in his family. He shared the tragic news that his sister, Jo, had died from sudden arrhythmic death syndrome at the young age of 40.
An Emotional Thank You to Supporters
In the wake of the broadcast, Jasmine took to her social media platforms to provide followers with a further update and to express her gratitude. She posted a heartfelt message of thanks to everyone who had sent their support.
Her caption read: "Paying tribute to my lovely sister in law, Jo who we miss so dearly [...] and to celebrate my wonderful husband Jon who has been through so much lately." She added a touch of humour to the difficult situation, writing: "I know I'm not the most patient nurse, but maybe that helped you recover more quickly!"
Jasmine also responsibly included a note for viewers who may have been affected by the episode's content, signposting them to organisations that could offer support and advice.
Outpouring of Fan Support and Recovery
The update prompted an immediate and warm response from her followers. One person commented: "Felt emotional for you seeing jon in hospital with heart problem, God bless his sister." Another supporter wrote: "Yesterday was such an emotional episode. Such a lovely tribute to Jo as well and pleased Jon is on the mend."
A third fan offered words of encouragement, saying: "Jasmine you are such a brave soul... love you to bits. Keep your chin up keep smiling & above all jon you have fought so strongly this year. I hope you keep getting better & stronger. You have an amazing family."
In a statement to The Mirror, Jasmine Harman confirmed the positive news that Jon is thankfully on the road to recovery. The presenter continues her work on both Jasmine Harman's Renovation in the Sun and A Place in the Sun on Channel 4.
