The Beatles are set to return to one of their most iconic locations with a new fan experience opening in London. Apple Corps Ltd, the company founded by the Fab Four, announced on Monday that a seven-floor attraction will be established at their former headquarters at 3 Savile Row. This building holds historic significance as the site where the band recorded the album "Let It Be" and where they performed their final public concert on the rooftop on January 30, 1969.
What the Experience Will Offer
The upcoming attraction will grant fans unprecedented access to the rooftop, studios, and extensive Beatles archives. Visitors will be able to explore the very spaces where the band created some of their most memorable music. The experience aims to immerse fans in the history and legacy of the Beatles, offering a unique glimpse into their creative process.
Statements from the Band Members
Paul McCartney expressed his excitement in a statement, saying, "It was such a trip to get back to 3 Savile Row recently and have a look around. There are so many special memories within the walls, not to mention the rooftop. The team have put together some really impressive plans and I’m excited for people to see it when it’s ready." Ringo Starr also shared his enthusiasm, remarking, "Wow, it's like coming home."
Opening Date and Continuing Interest
An official opening date for the fan experience has not yet been announced, but it is expected to open in 2027. Interest in the Beatles remains high, with four biopics currently in production. Peter Jackson's 2021 documentary series, "The Beatles: Get Back," heavily featured footage from the "Let It Be" recording sessions and the farewell rooftop performance. In 2023, artificial intelligence was used to create the final Beatles recording, "Now and Then," which utilized original recordings by the band members.
