Strictly Come Dancing professional Dianne Buswell has given fans a heartwarming glimpse into her baby shower celebrations in Australia, shared with her partner, internet personality Joe Sugg. The couple, who are expecting their first child, beamed in a series of sweet snaps posted online as they celebrated with Dianne's family Down Under.
Radiant in Blue: A Family Affair
The 36-year-old dancer looked radiant and blooming, showcasing her growing baby bump in a gorgeous blue floral maxi dress. She accessorised with a satchel bearing the words 'mum to be'. In one touching image, Dianne stood proudly beside her parents, Rina and Mark, in front of their beautifully decorated home. The expectant parents were also pictured in front of a table laden with sweet treats, their excitement palpable.
Dianne revealed her family had organised the special day, captioning her Instagram post: 'Our Australian baby shower with the family. Thank you to my gals and Mia for putting so much effort in to make it so fun and special.' The couple spent Christmas in Australia with her parents ahead of the joyful event.
Strictly Co-Stars Send Their Love
Her Strictly colleagues were quick to flood the comments with well-wishes. Pro dancer Vito Coppola wrote: 'Bellissimi oh guys cannot wait. Love this so much and everyone is just so excited to meet your little boy.' Amy Dowden replied with blue love hearts and teary-eyed emojis, while Nancy Xu commented: 'I can't wait to meet our little boy.' 2023 champion Ellie Leach simply added: 'So beautiful.'
The shower included a playful moment where the couple were given a parenting test run, dressing dolls in front of their guests. Dianne appeared to be a natural, while photos showed Joe, 34, seemingly struggling with the task.
A Journey to Parenthood
The baby shower marks another milestone in the couple's journey to parenthood. They announced the pregnancy in September with a poignant video set to Elton John's 'Tiny Dancer', featuring them painting a picture that revealed a drawing of two stick figures and a baby.
Dianne has been open about her pregnancy, telling fans in November how her bump had 'popped' and that getting dressed for Strictly was becoming harder. She made history as the first professional on the show to compete while pregnant, before her partner, actor Stefan Dennis, had to withdraw due to injury.
Dianne and Joe first struck up their romance after being paired on the sixteenth series of Strictly Come Dancing back in 2018. Earlier this week, Dianne was also seen smiling broadly as she cradled her bare bump during a sunny beach walk in Australia.
