Former Girls Aloud singer Nicola Roberts has offered a heartfelt reflection on a monumental year, sharing intimate details of her pregnancy journey and a powerful piece of advice for her followers.
A Whirlwind Year of Milestones
In a candid Instagram post looking back at 2025, Roberts, who turned 40 last year, revealed that her life changed dramatically within a matter of weeks. In October, she opened in her first West End lead role, discovered she was expecting her first child, and celebrated her milestone birthday.
The singer described the period as a "whirlwind," admitting she was barely able to acknowledge her birthday at the time due to dealing with "the most almighty nausea." She posted photos from a belated birthday celebration, calling it her "favourite thing to have everyone I love in the one room."
'Don't Let Anyone Rush You'
The core of Roberts's message was a succinct, five-word piece of wisdom for her fans. She wrote that the year had validated for her, more than ever, that "you're on your own timeline." She urged her followers: "Don't let anyone rush you."

Roberts formally announced her pregnancy just before the New Year, revealing she and fiancé Mitch Hahn are five months along. "We've been keeping a secret. We are five months pregnant! We can't wait to meet our little one in the spring," she shared.
The couple, who confirmed their relationship in June 2022, got engaged last year. It is believed footballer Hahn, 36, proposed during a holiday in the South of France. Roberts was first spotted wearing her engagement ring during Girls Aloud's final performance at Brighton Pride.
