Former Love Island star Georgia Harrison has been rushed to hospital in an ambulance, weeks after welcoming her first child, baby girl Sahara, on October 30. The 31-year-old women's rights campaigner, who received an MBE from Prince William while heavily pregnant, was taken to the same hospital where she gave birth after suffering postnatal complications.
Harrison shared an emotional update on Instagram, posting a photo of herself lying pale on an ambulance stretcher. She wrote: 'Here’s the most random dump you’ll ever see. It’s been a whirlwind of a week, I ended up back where Sahara was born with a nasty infection but I’m on the road to recovery now.' Her mother Nicola commented: 'Scary days sweetie so pleased your feeling better for Christmas.'
The post also included positive moments, such as Harrison cuddling her daughter, who wore a jumper reading 'My First Christmas', and a behind-the-scenes snap from her appearance on Loose Women. Harrison and her boyfriend Jack Stacey, a city worker, met on a dating app and announced the pregnancy in May, describing it as a 'beautiful surprise'.
Harrison, known for her campaigning work, said becoming a mother has given her renewed drive to make the world a better place. She is now recovering at home with her family.
