A three-year-old boy from Minnesota has tragically died after being attacked by an American Bulldog at his grandmother's property.

The incident occurred on the afternoon of Sunday, 12 January 2026, near New York Mills. According to the Otter Tail County Sheriff's Office, the child, Beckett Brown, climbed into the dog's outdoor enclosure.
The boy's 51-year-old grandmother, Kristen Nelson, was injured as she attempted to intervene and stop the attack. Demonstrating immense courage while wounded, she then drove both herself and her grandson to the Perham Health emergency room.
Despite efforts at the hospital, Beckett Brown was pronounced dead. His grandmother was subsequently transferred to a hospital in Fargo, North Dakota, for further treatment of her injuries.
