Quarantine in Bordeaux

Over 1,700 passengers and crew aboard the Ambassador Cruise Line ship, known as the Ambition, have been confined following the death of a 90-year-old passenger, health officials have confirmed. The first signs of symptoms among passengers were recorded on May 11, according to Bordeaux officials.

Symptoms and Response

About 50 individuals have shown symptoms of norovirus, a form of gastroenteritis that causes vomiting and diarrhoea. Health authorities are working to contain the outbreak and prevent further spread. The ship remains docked as investigations continue.
