DWP Reveals 24 Skin Conditions Eligible for £114 Weekly PIP Payment
DWP Lists 24 Skin Conditions for PIP Payment

The Department for Work and Pensions (DWP) has released the complete list of 24 skin conditions that could make individuals eligible for the Personal Independence Payment (PIP). This benefit provides vital financial assistance to millions across England and Wales, with over 3.7 million claimants as of April 2026.

What is PIP?

PIP is a tax-free, non-means-tested payment designed to help with the additional costs of long-term disabilities, physical health conditions, or mental health difficulties. It can be claimed while working, studying, or holding savings. The benefit consists of two components: daily living and mobility. Applicants may qualify for one, both, or neither, depending on their assessment.

Payment Rates for 2026

In January, the DWP updated payment rates following a 3.8% inflationary rise. The rates are as follows:

Eligibility Criteria

You may be eligible for PIP if you are 16 or over, have a long-term physical or mental health condition or disability, struggle with certain everyday tasks or getting around, and expect these difficulties to last at least 12 months from when they began.
