About Allergy Alerts
The FSA clarified that sometimes a food product may be withdrawn (taken off shelves) or recalled (customers asked to return the product) if there is a risk to consumers due to missing or incorrect allergy labelling. When such a risk arises, the FSA issues an Allergy Alert.
