US President Donald Trump has raised health concerns after he appeared to struggle to breathe and wheezed while speaking to reporters in the White House. In a clip shared on X, Trump walked towards journalists before stopping to discuss the situation in Iran. He said: "The war is going very well, as you know. We're winning by a lot. Iran is making very big concessions. We'll see what happens, but it's been very, very powerful. It's going very, very well." However, his laboured breathing overshadowed his message, sparking widespread concern.
Social Media Reaction
One X user observed: "Trump appears to have difficulty breathing and speaking in this clip." Another grimly commented: "Close to death methinks. When he dies most MAGA will lose their centre. Die along with him. Lots of smell of death will somehow be invigorating." A third added: "He did have to walk a short distance. The guy who doesn’t believe in exercise or eating healthy is struggling, bigly. Sad!!!!"
A fourth noted: "He's been struggling to breathe for years, it was very noticeable on the golf course three years ago." Another speculated: "He’s in CHF (congestive heart failure) for sure… ankles are filled and that’s with the best care in the world... the train has left the station. The fluid always wins."
Calls for Transparency
One user wrote: "I wish someone would actually tell us why he was at Camp David, what medical treatment he got there, and what’s medically wrong with him. Obviously something is wrong. Would be nice to know now instead of waiting for a tell all book to come out too late." Another quipped: "That hallway is such a long walk for a guy who needs a golf cart that's 6 miles faster than everyone else's."
Niece's Warning
This latest clip comes days after his niece, Mary Trump, issued a stark warning about his health. The psychologist and author claimed his condition is deteriorating both mentally and physically. In her weekly newsletter, she referred to his "erratic conduct, late-night social media activity and the faltering Iran peace deal." She wrote: "He may still have moments when he appears more coherent, but psychologically he's in a downward spiral. He's experiencing constant narcissistic injuries, and nothing terrifies Donald more than humiliation."
White House Response
White House spokesman Steven Cheung hit back at the claims, dismissing Mary Trump's assessment and branding her a "stone-cold loser who doesn't have a clue about anything."
