Christie Brinkley, 71, Shares Bikini Photos and Wellness Tips

Iconic supermodel Christie Brinkley has once again captured the public's attention by posting a series of stunning photographs that defy her age. At 71, the former Sports Illustrated cover star shared images from her holiday home in Turks and Caicos, displaying a remarkably youthful glow and a toned physique in a black bikini.

A Timeless Figure and Artistic Flair

In the mirror selfies, Brinkley confidently showcased her enviable figure, highlighting a taut midriff and statuesque legs. The photos served a dual purpose, also revealing a large, intricate art piece she created herself. The artwork is composed of seashells collected over more than two decades of owning property on the Caribbean island, a testament to her long-standing connection to the location.

Never one to miss a pun, her Instagram caption playfully addressed her 900,000-plus followers: "I shell attempt to distract you from the important news you sea on Insta then I’ll clam up and you can scallop back to the more pressing issues of the day."

The Secrets Behind the Supermodel's Glow

Brinkley's enduring vitality is no accident; it is the product of a disciplined and holistic lifestyle. Her fitness routine is varied and consistent, incorporating activities she genuinely enjoys. She is an avid cyclist, frequently posting pictures of herself riding on the beach, and also uses a Peloton bike and attends spin classes several days a week.

"I do a 20- or a 30-minute class several days a week, and then I'll do some of the floor exercises and arm and core [the other days]," she explained in a past interview. She also swears by her home Total Gym equipment for convenience and practises yoga, albeit sometimes with canine interruptions from her dogs.

Diet, Philosophy, and Cosmetic Choices

Nutrition plays a fundamental role in Brinkley's regimen. A vegetarian since the age of 13, she has since adopted a vegan diet. She follows what she calls a "rainbow diet," filled with colourful fruits and vegetables. A typical day might start with raw oats, nuts, and berries, followed by a large salad with plant-based protein for lunch, and a similar meal with perhaps a bean pasta or quinoa base for dinner.

Regarding cosmetic enhancements, Brinkley has been candid about her preferences. While she admits to having "dabbled with fillers," she primarily relies on laser treatments to maintain her complexion. She is notably cautious about more invasive procedures.

She tried Botox only once and had a negative experience, vowing never to repeat it. "I don't Botox. I like the movement. I like to be able to have expression and move my face," she stated. Her philosophy is about ageing gracefully, not erasing every line. "I don’t want to look 'done' or anything," she remarked last year.

Christie Brinkley, who rose to fame in the 1970s and was famously the inspiration for Billy Joel's hit "Uptown Girl," continues to be a symbol of health, vitality, and positive ageing. Her latest social media post is less a vanity project and more a celebration of a lifestyle built on consistent effort, mindful eating, and a joyful approach to fitness.
