So when I heard about the new gel masks from Mediheal, a leading Korean skincare brand, I was eager to try them. Unlike traditional sheet masks, these are made from gel infused with active ingredients. You apply it for two hours, and the ingredients absorb directly into your skin.
The mask starts white and turns clear after about two hours, indicating full absorption. The texture is like a skin on custard – it holds together well but can tear if handled roughly. It feels cool and soothing, and applies more comfortably than fabric masks. It comes in two parts with eye and mouth sections that can be removed if desired.
I wore it for the full two hours, though instructions suggest 30 minutes to two hours. Some people wear it overnight, but I can't imagine doing that without ruining your sheets. The first hour and a half was pleasant, but by the end I was ready to have my normal face back.
The Hyper Collagen Low Molecular Liposome Mask left my skin feeling plumper and firmer even 24 hours later. Fine lines were smoothed out, though I didn't notice a huge effect on pores. At £38 for 10 masks (£3.80 each), I think it's a good investment given the results. Overall, I highly recommend this product.
