As ITV's Love Island: All Stars made its return this week, a former star of the show, Shaughna Phillips, has captured attention with a dramatic personal reveal of her own. The 31-year-old reality TV personality showcased her impressive five-and-a-half stone weight loss in a powerful before-and-after video shared on Instagram.
A 14-Month Transformation Journey
In the video posted on Thursday, Shaughna documented her body transformation over a 14-month period. The clip began with a 'before' segment, where she posed in a bandeau bikini, candidly telling followers she previously weighed 97kg. The footage then cut to a confident 'after' shot, with Shaughna modelling a halterneck bikini, having dropped to a svelte 61kg.
Promoting her workout regime, she captioned the post: "I NEED this in my life guys! Which is why … we’re bringing it BACK!!" She explained the plan helped her get into the best shape of her life, emphasising it was not a quick fix. "It was NOT a quick fix - it took over 14 months to get there," she wrote, adding she had dropped five dress sizes.
Clapping Back at Weight Loss Jab Speculation
This is not the first time Shaughna has addressed her public weight loss journey. Last year, she directly confronted online trolls who speculated she used the weight loss injection Ozempic. In a previous Instagram post featuring another striking bikini clip, she set the record straight.
"NO-zempic here guys! Just an incredible eating and exercise plan," she stated firmly. She reiterated that her transformation took over a year and was achieved with help, but not from any injection or pill. "Sad that you can’t lose weight naturally now without people saying that," she added, while clarifying she does not judge others for their choices.
The Lifestyle Changes Behind the Loss
Shaughna provided insight into the specific changes that led to her success. She highlighted that a structured nutrition plan was the game-changer, moving from sporadic, unhealthy eating to consuming meals throughout the day. Her exercise routine also shifted to manageable, 12-minute workouts rather than lengthy sessions.
She also addressed the physical realities of such a significant transformation, openly discussing having loose skin, which she attributed to both the substantial weight loss and giving birth to her 8lb 8oz baby. Despite this, she proudly declared, "I’m fitter than I’ve ever been."
