Prime Minister Anthony Albanese has officially confirmed the deployment of Australian military assets to the Middle East as part of a critical response to the escalating regional conflict. Evacuation Flights Underway

During a parliamentary Question Time session on Thursday, Albanese provided detailed updates on the evacuation operations. He announced that a second flight from Dubai, designated EK414, was already airborne and en route to Sydney with over 200 Australians on board.

"I confirm right now another flight, EK414 is in the air with over 200 Australians on board," the Prime Minister stated. "It departed Dubai at 9.16am today Canberra time, bound for Sydney and we are hopeful of more flights in the air today which is what we want to see."

Additional Evacuation Efforts Planned

Albanese further revealed that additional evacuation flights are scheduled to depart for Australia later today. "The most recent advice is another two flights are scheduled to depart to Australia today," he added, emphasizing the government's commitment to ensuring the safe return of all stranded citizens.
