In a significant escalation of military posturing, former US President Donald Trump has reinforced his so-called 'big beautiful Armada' in the Middle East with the addition of the USS Delbert D Black guided missile destroyer. This move comes amid ongoing tensions with Iran, as Trump issued stark warnings to Tehran regarding nuclear negotiations.
Naval Buildup in the Red Sea
According to official statements from US Navy officials, the USS Delbert D Black is now actively sailing in the Red Sea. This deployment increases the American naval footprint in the region to a formidable force, comprising six destroyers, the aircraft carrier USS Abraham Lincoln, and three littoral combat ships designed for operations close to shore.

Trump emphasised the fleet's readiness to act with 'speed and violence' if necessary, while urging Iran to negotiate a nuclear weapons deal.
In his social media post, Trump referenced past military actions, including 'Operation Midnight Hammer,' which targeted Iranian nuclear facilities last summer. He warned that failure to comply could result in even more severe consequences, stating: 'The next attack will be far worse! Don’t make that happen again.'
