The United States is reportedly dispatching the USS Tripoli, a formidable amphibious assault ship, to the volatile Middle East region, accompanied by approximately 2,500 Marines. Commissioned on July 15, 2020, the Tripoli is the second America-class amphibious assault ship constructed for the United States Navy.
