EastEnders viewers might be surprised to learn that Vicki Fowler star Alice Haig comes from a family of famous actors. In recent episodes of the BBC soap, Vicki's fairytale wedding to Ross Marshall was shattered by a shocking revelation: she had been having a secret affair with Zack Hudson, despite their connection through sister Sharon Watts.

The Wedding Bombshell

At the altar, Ross discovered the affair after Zack tried to stop the wedding. The entire party was left stunned, especially Sharon. The question remains whether Vicki and Ross can salvage their relationship.

Alice Haig joined EastEnders last year as Vicki Fowler, quickly making an impact. Away from the show, she is the daughter of two well-known actors.

Alice Haig's Famous Father

Alice's father is acclaimed actor and playwright David Haig, 70, who has had a remarkable 46-year career. He landed his first major role in 1980 as Pangol in Doctor Who, then rose to fame in 1994 playing Bernard Delaney in Four Weddings and a Funeral. The film, written by Richard Curtis, starred Hugh Grant, Andie McDowell, Kristin Scott Thomas, and Rowan Atkinson.

More recently, David appeared in the BBC spy thriller Killing Eve as Bill Pargrave. His credits also include the first Downton Abbey film and a recurring role in Sky One's COBRA. In 2002, he reunited with Hugh Grant in Two Weeks Notice alongside Sandra Bullock. He has appeared in numerous TV shows such as Marple, Doc Martin, My Family, Midsomer Murders, Dalziel and Pascoe, Yes, Prime Minister, The Darling Buds of May, Soldier Soldier, and Inspector Morse.

Alice's Mother and Family

Alice is one of David's five children with his wife Julia Gray, who performs as Jane Galloway. Jane, 76, is also an actress and appeared on EastEnders in 2006 as Dr. Weisberg. She has had roles in The Last Detective, Doctors, Casualty, The Bill, Bad Girls, and The Vicar of Dibley. She also appeared in the US sitcom 3rd Rock from the Sun and the film Dad, the Angel and Me.
