Israel and Lebanon have agreed to a 45-day extension of the ceasefire, after another round of talks, the US State Department says.
US Confirms Extension
State department spokesman Tommy Pigott confirmed the move, saying: "We hope these discussions will advance lasting peace between the two countries, full recognition of each other's sovereignty and territorial integrity, and establishing genuine security along their shared border."
The ceasefire was first announced by President Donald Trump last month, but Israel and Hezbollah have continued to exchange fire since then.
This is a developing story. Further updates are expected as negotiations continue.
