Seann Walsh Opens Up About I'm A Celebrity South Africa Experience

Seann Walsh, the comedian who became the first casualty of the I'm A Celebrity... South Africa All Stars series, has addressed the camp's so-called 'villain', retired boxer David Haye. In an appearance on Friday's episode of This Morning, Walsh insisted there is 'no camp feud' among the celebrities, despite Haye's controversial remarks and clashes with other campmates.

Reflections on David Haye's Behaviour

During his interview with hosts Alison Hammond and Dermot O'Leary, Walsh discussed Haye, who has sparked viewer controversy with comments about his partner Sian and conflicts with Waterloo Road star Adam Thomas. Walsh remarked, 'David Haye, I think sometimes he forgot he was on one of the biggest shows in television. He thought he was in a WhatsApp group with close friends.' However, he clarified that everyone got along during his time in camp, dismissing any notion of ongoing tensions.

Elimination by Harry Redknapp

Walsh was eliminated from the pre-recorded series, filmed in September 2025, after being chosen by Harry Redknapp. Redknapp, who entered camp as a late arrival and was named 'King' of the Lions team, had to select one teammate to leave after losing a face-off. He opted for Walsh, despite initial attempts to choose himself. Walsh expressed understanding, saying, 'It was difficult for Harry, he’s forced to get rid of one of us.' Redknapp later admitted at an event that he dreaded breaking the news, especially after Walsh had told him the show was 'great for his profile' and hoped to last long.

Harry Redknapp's Name Blunder

In a humorous twist, Redknapp accidentally referred to Walsh as 'Stewart' during the elimination, with other campmates correcting him. He explained, 'I am dithering and I said "I'm sorry Stewart. I am going to have to send you home", afterwards they all said "Harry, his name is Seann"... he will hate me.' David Haye tried to lighten the mood by joking, 'I always thought it was Shane Walsh.' Presenters Ant and Dec played into the mistake, quipping that Walsh's hotel room was booked under 'Stewart Walsh' by Redknapp.

Camp Dynamics and Future Episodes

Walsh's departure came after Redknapp and Jimmy Bullard joined as late arrivals, leading rival teams. Despite the elimination, Walsh confirmed no ill-will, and the incident has added a light-hearted element to the series. I'm A Celebrity... South Africa continues to air on ITV1 and ITVX, with viewers anticipating further developments in camp interactions.
