‘Saturday Night Live U.K.’ has announced the hosts for the final two episodes of its debut season. Hannah Waddingham, known for ‘Ted Lasso’ and ‘Ride or Die’, will host the 9 May episode, with Brit Award winner Myles Smith as musical guest. Ncuti Gatwa, whose credits include ‘Doctor Who’, ‘Sex Education’ and ‘Barbie’, headlines the 16 May instalment alongside indie-pop singer Holly Humberstone.
The upcoming episode on 2 May will be hosted by ‘White Lotus’ star Aimee Lou Wood, with British singer Meek as musical guest. Previous hosts and musical performances include Nicola Coughlan with Foo Fighters, Jack Whitehall with Jorja Smith, Riz Ahmed with Kasabian, Jamie Dornan with Wolf Alice and Tina Fey with Wet Leg.
‘SNL U.K.’ has just two more episodes to go in its first season, which was extended from six to eight shows ahead of its premiere. The show has not yet been renewed for a second season. Alongside the rotating weekly host, the cast includes Hammed Animashaun, Ayoade Bamgboye, Larry Dean, Celeste Dring, George Fouracres, Ania Magliano, Annabel Marlow, Al Nash, Jack Shep, Emma Sidi and Paddy Young.
Produced by Universal Television Alternative Studio’s U.K. production team and Broadway Video for Sky and NOW, the show is executive produced by Lorne Michaels. James Longman serves as lead producer, Liz Clare as director and Daran Jonno Johnson as head writer. Alongside airing live on Sky and streaming service NOW, ‘SNL U.K.’ is available to watch the next day on Peacock in the U.S.
