SoFi Stadium Worker Dismissed Following ICE Threat Incident

A third-party service provider employee at SoFi Stadium in Inglewood, California, has been fired after she was recorded threatening to call Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) on a group of Latino concertgoers. The venue's operator, Hollywood Park, confirmed the termination to KTLA on Monday, stating they do not tolerate such behavior.

Confrontation Erupts During Los Bukis Concert

Footage from the exchange on Friday shows a disagreement breaking out between attendees and the female staff member. In the clip, the woman, wearing a blue coat with a face mask pulled down, argues with a concertgoer as a supervisor intervenes. During the interaction, the employee begins recording on her own phone and says, "Don't put words in my mouth."

At one point, the supervisor asks her to step away, to which she appears to respond, "Yeah, before I call ICE," before walking away. Witnesses followed her as she moved to direct another group out of the venue, with a voice in the recording heard saying, "She said she's gonna call ICE."

Supervisor's Response and Aftermath

The recording witness informed the supervisor of the comment, who replied, "I can't control that. I'll talk to her about that." A spokesperson for Hollywood Park emphasized that the employee was a third-party contractor and is no longer working at the complex. No details have been released regarding law enforcement involvement or any criminal complaints.

Historic Context of the Los Bukis Concert

The confrontation occurred during Los Bukis' second-to-last show of their historic reunion tour, which closed with two final performances at SoFi Stadium on Friday and Saturday. The band, formed in 1973 in Michoacán, Mexico, reunited in 2021 after a 25-year hiatus, becoming the first Latin artists to perform at the venue.

Their setlist featured hits like "Tu Cárcel," "Quiéreme," and "Yo Te Necesito." Last year, Los Bukis earned a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame, dedicated to U.S. immigrants, and were celebrated with a mural near SoFi Stadium, highlighting their cultural significance.
