Syrian Migrants Charged Over Cheshire Teen Rape

Two Syrian migrants have been charged in connection with the rape of a teenage girl in Cheshire, following an early morning report to police.

Early Morning Assault Leads to Arrests

Cheshire Constabulary were called to an incident in Winsford at approximately 5am on Sunday. The call concerned reports that an 18-year-old woman had been sexually assaulted. Officers attended the scene swiftly, launching an immediate investigation.

Suspects Charged and Remanded

Following their enquiries, police arrested two men in connection with the alleged attack. The individuals have been named as Diyar Mohammed Abdulsalm, 27, and Dilgash Adil, 31. Both men, confirmed as Syrian nationals residing at Ledward Street in Winsford, were questioned by detectives after their arrest.

Subsequently, the Crown Prosecution Service authorised charges. Both Abdulsalm and Adil have each been charged with two counts of rape. They have been remanded in custody and did not enter pleas during their initial processing.

Court Appearance Scheduled

The two accused men are now set to make their first appearance before the judiciary. They are scheduled to appear at Chester Magistrates' Court later today. The case is expected to be heard before magistrates who will consider matters of bail and likely refer the serious charges to a higher court.

The police have confirmed the investigation is ongoing and are appealing for anyone with information to come forward. The victim is receiving support from specially trained officers.
