Channel 4 drama Tip Toe, created by Russell T Davies, premiered on Sunday, May 31, at 9pm, with episode two airing on Monday, June 1. However, fans will have to wait for the remaining three episodes, which will air over three consecutive nights from Sunday, June 7, to Tuesday, June 9, at 9pm.
The series stars Alan Cumming as Leo, a gay bar owner, and David Morrissey as Clive, an electrician, who turn against each other after 15 years of living side by side. What begins as a simple feud escalates into a more dangerous situation for both men.
The first two episodes are available for streaming on Channel 4, with the remaining three episodes becoming available on June 7. The drama focuses on prejudice and hate crimes towards the LGBTQ+ community.
At a screening, Davies commented on the broader implications of the story, saying, 'I think it's a crisis happening day after day – and it's anyone. Everyone's being weaponised against [each other]. You could make a Jewish version of this drama, you could make a disabled version of this drama, women could make this drama. I see straight white men who could make this drama, feeling marginalised. It's the temperature of the dialogue and the argument and the pitch of it – all driven by our phones – that's alarming me greatly.'
