Darren Till, the former UFC welterweight title challenger, has officially signed a multi-fight agreement with Bare Knuckle Fighting Championship (BKFC), mere days after announcing his departure from Misfits Boxing. This swift career move confirms Till's transition to the bare-knuckle fighting arena, marking a significant shift in his combat sports journey.
BKFC Debut Scheduled for May in Birmingham
Till is set to make his promotional debut under the BKFC banner on May 30 at BKFC 90, which will be held in Birmingham. His opponent for this highly anticipated bout has yet to be confirmed, but reports indicate that the fight will take place at the 185-pound weight class. BKFC, an organization co-owned by renowned fighter Conor McGregor, continues to attract top talent from across the fighting world.
Till's Bold Statement on BKFC Signing
In a characteristically fiery declaration, Darren Till expressed his enthusiasm for joining BKFC. "I am very pleased to be signing with the BKFC," Till stated. "It’s an amazing promotion! F*** everyone on this roster, I’m coming to be the face of violence. No one can beat me." This confident proclamation underscores Till's determination to dominate his new fighting home.
BKFC founder David Feldman also commented on the signing, highlighting the perfect timing for Till's debut. "Darren and I have been talking and the timing is perfect for him to make his BKFC debut," Feldman said. "I’ve watched Darren compete for the last few years and he’s a tremendous and exciting addition to our team."
From UFC to Boxing and Now Bare Knuckle
Darren Till's fighting career has undergone several transformations in recent years. After leaving the UFC three years ago following defeats to Robert Whittaker, Derek Brunson, and Dricus du Plessis, the Liverpudlian fighter transitioned to boxing. He made a brief appearance on the exhibition boxing scene in 2024, securing a win over Mohammad Mutie, before signing with Misfits Boxing.
During his time with Misfits, Till impressed the boxing community with a series of dominant performances:
- He outclassed fan-favourite Anthony Taylor, knocking him out in the sixth round.
- He defeated fellow former UFC fighter Darren Stewart in May of last year.
- He delivered a brutal third-round knockout against ex-UFC middleweight champion Luke Rockhold.
These three consecutive victories established Till as one of the biggest names in the promotion, positioning him for a major 2026 in the squared-circle. However, he ultimately chose a different path, leading to his recent departure from Misfits.
Departure from Misfits and Future Prospects
Earlier this week, Till announced his shock exit from Misfits Boxing, though he insists the split was amicable. In an Instagram video, he explained, "It’s time to try my hand at something else… not a lot of people wanted to fight me. It was getting really hard to get fights. So, in the next few days, I’m going to have a massive announcement, some massive news."
Till added, "I’m sure you’re all going to be excited to see what I’m going to announce. And I just want to say again thanks to Misfits, thanks to everyone involved, and I’ll probably be back there soon as well – this is not the end of it with Misfits. Peace and love." This statement leaves the door open for potential future collaborations with Misfits, even as he embarks on his BKFC journey.
As Darren Till prepares for his bare-knuckle debut, fans and analysts alike will be watching closely to see how his skills translate to this new, brutal format. With his track record of exciting fights and knockout power, Till's move to BKFC promises to inject fresh energy into the promotion and deliver thrilling matchups in the months ahead.
