Doncic, who had flown back from the United States to be present for the birth of his daughter Olivia, expressed a desire to bring their first daughter, Gabriela, back to the U.S. with him. This sparked an argument with Goltes, who was still in the hospital at the time.
Goltes reportedly called the police during the altercation, though Doncic had already left the hospital peacefully before the call was made. Despite the personal turmoil, Doncic made a public appearance on Tuesday night, signing autographs for fans before leading the Lakers to a 120-106 victory over the Minnesota Timberwolves with 31 points, 11 rebounds, and 11 assists.
