A new biography of Prince Andrew claims the Duke of York was described as a 'useful idiot' in an alleged Russian spy plot. The book, 'Entitled: The Rise and Fall of the House of York' by historian Andrew Lownie, explores the prince's friendship with Jeffrey Epstein, his relationships, and finances.
According to extracts serialised in the Daily Mail, the biography alleges that Andrew's connections were exploited by Russian intelligence. The claim is based on a former MI6 officer's assertion that the prince was unwittingly used as a conduit for espionage activities.
The book also delves into Andrew's finances, suggesting he had mysterious sources of income. It further examines his relationship with ex-wife Sarah Ferguson and his ill-advised friendship with disgraced financier Jeffrey Epstein.
Representatives for Prince Andrew were contacted for comment but have not yet responded to the allegations. The biography is set to be published later this month.
