Bafta TV Awards Viewers Confused by Catherine O'Hara Omission from In Memoriam

Viewers of the Bafta TV Awards have expressed confusion and frustration after Catherine O'Hara, star of Schitt's Creek and Home Alone, was not included in the ceremony's in memoriam segment. The omission came despite her series The Studio winning Best International Series at the same event.

The tribute, which featured a performance by Norwegian singer AURORA, honoured several notable figures from the television industry who had died in the past year. Among those remembered were Jilly Cooper, Patrick Murray, and EastEnders' Derek Martin, as well as international stars like Eric Dane and James Van Der Beek.

During the ceremony, Seth Rogen, O'Hara's co-star in The Studio, paid tribute to her in his acceptance speech, saying: 'I'd be remiss not to mention one of the key parts of this show, Catherine O'Hara. She meant so much to all of us.'

On social media, viewers questioned the decision. One user wrote: 'Catherine O'Hara not featured on the celebs who have passed away segment?' Another added: 'What the actual F! How do you not include Catherine O'Hara in the memorial section?'

Some have suggested that O'Hara may have been honoured at the Bafta Film Awards earlier this year, which could explain her absence from the television ceremony. However, the oversight has left many fans disappointed.
