In a series first for the E4 show Don't Tell The Bride, a couple decided not to make their wedding legally binding. The episode, which aired on Wednesday, featured Sofia and Craig, who had starkly different visions for their big day.
Sofia desired a romantic beach ceremony, while Craig planned an Oktoberfest-themed wedding complete with lederhosen. Upon arriving at the brewery venue and seeing his choice of dress, Sofia stormed off, refusing to speak to Craig. He admitted, 'I fucked up, I got it wrong…' and apologised, but Sofia reluctantly agreed to 'go through the motions.'
The pair exchanged vows in an awkward ceremony, but the show later revealed they had not made it legal. A message to viewers stated: 'At the time of making this programme Craig and Sofia had decided not to make their wedding legal and were working together on their relationship.'
Viewers took to social media to comment on the episode, with one calling it 'the saddest don’t tell the bride ever' and another noting the 'genuine fuming, hostile vows.' Don't Tell The Bride continues on E4 next Tuesday at 9pm.
